The Project Management Institutes Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is accepted worldwide as proof of project management experience and competency.

Having a PMP Certification proves that the candidate has an advanced level of experience and project management knowledge PMBOK®.

This training will help the professional logistics of the examination to apply, prepare and pass it. The training will provide the basic knowledge required and cover all the steps needed to pass the exam and attain the PMP Certification.

Chairman, CSI, Chennai Chapter

Dear Members,

Greeetings.

It is great to be a part of the country's first IT professionals' Society - Computer Society of India. I am doubly happy to be the Chairman of this Chennai Chapter for this year.

This year we are planning to increase our activities by holding more no. of meetings and seminars and make our chapter stronger.

We are also trying to do away with paper invites and send only email invitations. Besides, the details will be published in our website. Hence please do visit our website and check for the meeting updates.

we plan to have an International Conference on Software Engineering by the Division II of the CSI headed by Mr. H.R. Mohan during Dec 17-19, 2009 at Chennai. This conference comes back to Chennai after 12 years. It is also proposed to have a session during the conf. to felicitate Prof. H.N.Mahabala, the past president, CSI & past chairman, CSI Chennai who will be completing 75 years in Dec 2009.

We also have a couple of International Conferences during December 2009 by some of the student chapters.

Apart from the model examinations for the Plus two students , we plan to conduct an "eye opener" for the plus two students who are aspiring for the engineering courses after their +2.

As a combined force, we can achieve wonders and make our chapter take its rightful place in the comity of Societies.

I appreciate our fellow member Mr. S. Krishnamorthy for sparing his valuable time to maintain the chapter's web site and continuously updating the events and activities.
